Matt’s Respite Retreats offer three or four night stays at Haven Weymouth Bay Holiday Park. Offering those affected by cancer a short break with their families. Haven provide passes to their entertainment free of charge. The caravan sleeps six people and breaks are offered at no cost. People wishing to use the caravan must be nominated, please see the website: http://www.mattsrespiteretreats.org.uk/. The charity was set up after Mel lost her husband Matt to cancer in 2014. During his illness they were lucky enough to be sent on holiday at no cost. The difference it made was what kept them going and fighting. Recognising this, Mel purchased a static caravan to offer respite breaks for those affected by cancer. The Caravan is cleaned, between visits, to meet Covid-19 standards.
